Holy Years on papal medals of the Christian Museum

Among the papal medals of the Holy Years, one finds both works of outstanding quality and less refined pieces. The obverse usually features a bust of the pope with an inscription, while the reverse bears characteristic motifs referring to the papacy or the Holy Year, such as the Holy Door or Saints Peter and Paul, together with a clear commemorative inscription.
