Decorative arts (permanent exhibition)

The Christian Museum’s collection includes almost every branch of the decorative arts: metalwork (liturgical objects, table ornaments, cutlery, clocks and watches, and dress accessories); textiles (liturgical vestments, tapestries, Oriental carpets, lace, and folk and aristocratic embroidery); ceramics and glass (Chinese porcelain, Delftware, pieces from porcelain factories throughout Europe, Haban ware, glass objects, and decorative vases); stained glass from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century; and ivory carving from the twelfth to the nineteenth century. A particular highlight is the collection of snuffboxes from the San Marco–Nákó bequest, the largest of its kind in Hungary.
