Provenance

Ipolyi obtained the panels from the organ loft of the Church of St. James in Jakabfalva (along with an altarpiece dedicated to Mary Magdalene from this same church and had it brought to the Chapel of the Holy Communion in the parish church of Our Lady in Besztercebánya. Later the panels became part of the Ipolyi collection, which was then acquired by the Christian Museum.

Dezső Varga, 1960-61 (Earlier, perhaps early 20th-century additions and overpainting were removed from both wings.)
