Description and further information
Ovoid body on a low cylindrical foot, flaring outwards at the mouth. The exterior is painted in iron red, cobalt blue and gold with branches of flowering cherry. Around the foot is a later European openwork ormolu mount with a lace-like edge. Two curved bronze handles, each incorporating a female herm, are attached to the foot and rise to the rim.
