Description and further information
On the basis of his attributes, the figure on the far left of the painting can be securely identified as Saint Joseph, while the bowing figure is probably the donor.
A variant is preserved in the Palazzo Pitti, Florence: Workshop of Titian, The Holy Family with Saint Catherine and Mary Magdalene, 130.3 × 164.5 cm, inv. no. 52 according to the 1912 inventory.
